Chicago 'Black Christmas' protesters march against police violence
Several hundred protesters against police killings of black men marched on Thursday along Chicago's Michigan Avenue, calling for Mayor Rahm Emanuel to step down and aiming to disrupt Christmas Eve shopping in a glittering, upscale commercial area.
The demonstration was peaceful, but after the main march concluded, police scuffled with a few dozen protesters who were trying to block the entrance to an H&M store and to obstruct traffic both ways on Michigan Avenue, a major thoroughfare.
During the march, demonstrators chanted "Sixteen shots and a cover-up," protesting the year-long delay in bringing murder charges against police officer Jason Van Dyke, who shot and killed Laquan McDonald in October 2014 as the black teenager walked away from police, according to footage of the incident.
Shoppers and tourists mostly took in their stride Thursday's protest, which was not as big as a 2,000-person march on "Black Friday" Nov. 27, which blocked traffic into several Michigan Avenue stores.
"I think it's a good reminder, especially on Christmas Eve, that it's not all about gifts and the commercialization of Christmas," said Barbara Hutchinson, 64, from St. Louis.

Kim Kardashian has son's placenta made into pills to ward off depression
New Mom Kim K revealed on her website that she had her son's placenta made into pills which she takes daily to ward off postpartum depression. She shared a bottle of the pills on her website and wrote:
'So, I'm really not this holistic person or someone who would have ever considered eating my placenta,''And when I say "eat my placenta," I mean that I'm having it freeze-dried and made into a pill form- not actually fry it like a steak and eat it (which some people do, BTW).''I thought, why not try it? What do I have to lose?'
'I really didn't want the baby blues and thought I can't go wrong with taking a pill made of my own hormones- made by me, for me'.
'I started researching and read about so many moms who felt this same way and said the overall healing process was so much easier.' I had great results and felt so energized and didn't have any signs of depression! I definitely had to do it again. 'Every time I take a pill, I feel a surge of energy and feel really healthy and good. I totally recommend it for anyone considering it!'
She did the same after the birth of North.

15-year-old boy beats 26 year old neighbour to death
The police in Lagos have arrested a 15-year-old boy, Sodiq Isa, for allegedly beating his 26 year old neighbour, Johnson Adeboye, to death with a stick.
It was learnt that Adeboye had complained that Sodiq was making a noise with a plate, Sodiq insulted the deceased which led to a fight and Sodiq allegedly beat the deceased to death with a stick.
The incident happened on December 5th on Townhall Street in the Amukoko area of Lagos. The suspect said Adeboye, a Keke Marwa (tricycle) driver had attacked him first.
He narrated:
“I was returning from Arabic school at about 5pm that day. The plate I used in taking food to school fell from my hands. I picked it up and went to a shop close by to clean it up.
“There was a table in front of the shop; so, I hit the plate on the table to remove the sand inside the plate. Johnson (Adeboye) was in front of the shop, and he told me that I was making a noise with it.
“I told him I was only trying to clean up the sand in the plate. He asked me if I was mad, that why should I be talking to him like that. I responded and told him I was not mad. He warned me that if I continued to talk back at him, he would beat me up. I ignored his threat and walked home.”
He added that the victim followed him home and continued the threat.
He said his grandma, who was at home at the time, asked him what the matter was.
“Johnson came from behind and started beating me. Some people around separated us and he left, but he returned some minutes later to assault me again.
“People separated us for the second time, but he went to call one of his friends. Both of them started assaulting me.
“It was at this point that I felt the urge to defend myself. I picked a stick on the ground and hit Johnson on the head. Immediately, he fell and became unconscious. Neighbours gathered and rushed him to the hospital. But it was too late as he was already dead,” he added.
The suspect, who said he wanted to be an Islamic cleric, begged for forgiveness, saying it was not his intention to kill the deceased.
Sodia has since been arrested by policemen from the Amukoko division but has been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, confirmed the incident. He said the investigations were ongoing.

Taylor Swift meets a fan in Australia who looks just like her
19 year old Olivia is a teenager from near Sydney, Australia, and just so happens to look exactly like Taylor Swift.
Olivia is a self-proclaimed Swiftie who started getting noticed for her resemblance to the superstar after she dyed her dark hair blond and got a chic bob haircut.
That resemblance got her noticed not only in a profile for Woman's Day, but also at a 1989 World Tour stop in Melbourne, where fans stopped her for photos.
“It took us an hour to walk a 10-minute trip because once I stopped for one photo, 20 others would ask," she told BuzzFeed. "It was crazy.”

Woman asks Internet to photoshop her holiday photo, regrets it.
The woman in the picture above instantly regretted asking the internet to photoshop a holiday photo of her and her beau.
She requested help in editing out the islands seen in the background of the original photo - which looks like something out of a magazine, the results were obviously not what she was looking for. More photos:-

Photos: See this smart dog open a door just like any human
In a clip shared online, a dog was seen standing outside waiting for its owners to open the door. He then decided to take matters into his paws when they ignore him. He stood on his hind feet and used his fore-paws to open the door. As if to prove it is no fluke, he did it a second time. The dog originates from the mountainous northern regions of Japan.
